He attempts to kill Molly Harper, believing she survived instead of Candice, but Sam Lawton intervenes. During a confrontation, Peter kills an FBI agent investigating the bridge collapse, thereby claiming the agent's lifespan. However, Sam fatally stabs Peter before he can harm Molly, ending his threat.
